If you ran a no car train on no track, how long would it take to derail?

Is this another joke, CB&Q?  "DCC-On Board" means that it already comes with a motor decoder installed in it.  But...you already knew that, yes?

The crowd is growing restless...(And, no - thank you!)

Does it have an NMRA 8-pin plug in it?  Here are some choices:

Why don't you get 'off your duff' and do a little searching on your own!?  It should take all of about 2 minutes to find the answer to your question on your own.  Stop being lazy and expecting everyone here to simply provide you with the answers to your basic questions.  Show a little initiative and do alittle research first on your own.  You've made your bed with your last thread, now lie in it.  I hope no one here helps and provides you with any more of a specific answer than you have already been provided.  Stop wasting our time and spend some of your own trying to answer your own quuestions first.

I've heard that a Flangelated McFooddlebobbalator works really well in one of these models, but you'd better hurry up and order one before they're all sold out.

The telephone number of the distributor is BR-549

AFAIK no one makes a sound/power decoder specifically for this engine, but several companies make sound decoders that would work. I would maybe visit Tony's Trains website, they have a lot of 'articles' on their website about decoders, installation etc. that you should find helpful.

There's a saying some people talk because they have a mouth I guess the same applies to typing words on a computer. The crappy decoder the DCC on board models come with is an inexpensive Lenz decoder that typically sound like an old coffee grinder but I guess the upper echelon model railroaders wouldn't be caught dead with something like that on their layouts so they don't have a clue that your asking a valid question. I asked the same question a while back and got no answer her so I posted it on the Bachmann site and got numerous helpful responses. I wound up using a Tsunami TSU-1000 with a bass reflex speaker. It didn't take much doing but I got it to work and it sounds great. The only problem is that the decoder and the speaker cost more then the locomotive did so I would suggest you maybe wait on it until the Digitrak SDN144PS  comes out with at the end of the month it has a suggested retail of $49.95 but a lot of people have it advertised at $39.95. It comes with a speaker but you'll have to provide some kind of enclosure if you wish to use one. For a low cost locomotive they really aren't all that bad with a little detailing and weathering added they work just fine.

Just my 2 cents worth, I spent the rest on trains. If you choked a Smurf what color would he turn?

When taken out of the context of what happened that same day, the responses to this e-mail do seem rather harsh.

The fact that responders thought this e-mail was a joke had nothing to do with a snobbish disdain for Bachmann DCC on-board, but everything to do with the recent track history of the OP who had fallen rather flat in an attempt at a joke on another question thread.

There is another saying about "Crying wolf!" which the OP was learning about.

I'll leave that sort of stuff up to the moderator he asked I answered, if he chooses to abuse or do things in bad taste then why even answer him in the first place.

Well....the thing is this,  the OP has already been abusive to me...so guess what happens?  He becomes my entertainment....hardy, har har!

Hopefully he'll figure out a better way of writing his posts---using grammar does help at times.

If you have a crappy Bachmann decoder, I suggest you use kitty-litter for ballast.

At this point, we should just let CB&Q have another opportunity to repost his inquiry - if he's still interested...
