sound decoder for Atlas S-2
Posted by trnj on Thursday, February 11, 2010 5:55 PM

I have an Atlas S-2 in which I installed a MRC sound decoder.  I want to replace this problem-prone decoder with one from another manufacturer.  I would appreciate any input as to which decoder might work best.  I have three ESU (LokSound) decoders in other engines and, after considerable "tweaking" they are excellent, in my opinion, especially in regard to speed control and light functions.  Any ideas?  I am especially concerned with speaker placement.

Thanks Dave.  I do have a LokProgrammer--a good investment.  I have my three LokSound units really customized with sounds and light-function.  I think it is hard to beat LokSound in regard to speed response.
