QSI sounds for SD45's
Posted by john2wilm on Monday, February 8, 2010 6:42 PM

I am looking to purchase a QSI revolution decoder and have the sounds pre loaded for me. I noticed that there are 4 files for SD45's. Can I guess that they are different do to different horns? I guess I am asking here vers asking QSI, hoping to get  a quicker responce.

Thanks

John

If you order your QSI decoders from a source such as Litchfield Station or Ulrich Models Hobby Store they will program the decoder for you, and will probably know which file you need depending on the road name you desire.

Are you sure that they actually have SD45 specific sound sets available?  I looked at their sound set ID page (http://www.qsisolutions.com/products/techinfo/revolution/q-revo_codes_diesel.htmland) and see that the SD45s are 1050-337, -338, -339, and -340, but there isn't any sample sound file to listen to.

Your best bet on this is to go right to the source and ask what's available.

Thanks David, I am looking for that distinct SD45 sound. As far as QSI, I did ask them this exact question and never heard from them. I did get with someone else who told me that those sound files from QSI are not available yet. :o(  I will look into Loksound decoders.

Thanks

John
