I have just experienced an interesting phenomenon. I have a set of P1K F3's an A and a B with what seem to be identical chassis and works except for the body shell, eh? I put a Digitrax DH163D in the A unit and a Tsunami with sound system in the B unit. However the B unit is much faster and zippier no matter what I try to do with the CV's 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6. I am really trying to speed match them to run together, so I guess it is just trial and error and I will keep at it until it works! Has anyone else experienced this? John
If that does not work with the Tsunami you might have to use CV210 and CV209. Basically set CV2, CV210 and CV209 to zero. Keep adjusting CV210 up until the locomotive just moves at the speed you want. Adjust CV209 to smooth it out. That is the short story.
They also have pre-set curves that you can select to try to match with other engines. Sometimes however it's better to take a couple of hours and make a speed table. Always adjust the fastest engine to the slowest engine.
As noted earlier, the Tsunami doesn't have a vmax or vmid setting.
