Ditch light question
Posted by Soo 61245 on Wednesday, January 13, 2010 9:53 PM

I've just installed an NCE DA-SR decoder in an Athearn SD75 (HO).  This is one of the older units that came as a kit.  I'm using the Athearn supplied bulbs for the ditch lights.  They are wired in and work fine.  I've programmed the CV's so the lights flash when the horn button (F2) is pressed.

If it's possible, I'd like to re-program the CV's so that the ditch lights continue to flash until I press F2 to turn off this function.  As programmed now, they flash for 5 seconds after pressing F2.  If I'm understanding the instructions correctly, changing the value of CV 118 extends the time the lights flash but can I choose a value that would have them flash until I again hit F2?  And would I have to remap F2 to accomplish this?

I'm running the system with a Digitrax SEB.

you need to change the F2 function on your throttle to latching from non-latching.

your digitrax book will tell you how to do it.
