If it is made like my BLI engines, you unscrew the coupler pockets, and pry the sides out a little and shake gently.

On PK B units, you leave the couplers on and just pry a little.

No this is in regard to the B unit not the A unit.  The A unit has DCC and sound but the B unit is DCC ready.

Unless the N scale Paragon2 models are significantly different than their HO kin, they already have DCC and sound.

I don't have N scale, but Broadway Limited's web site says every N scale Paragon2 model has DCC and sound already installed that works on both DC and DCC, but you're not going to have control of all of the sounds with DC.

Humm, not being into N scale I might be wrong. But, in HO scale I am 98% sure Paragon II has a dual mode decoder that works with DC and DCC. There Blue Line engine's are the ones that need a decoder added.

Can someone tell me how to get the shell off a Paragon2 N Scale EMD E8 so I can install a DCC module?
