We've found that in trying to program speed curves on several locos fitted with DH123/DZ123 decoders using DecoderPro that OPs mode programming doesn't have any effect but Service mode programming does work, although manually tedious. Is this a peculiarity of the decoders or are we missing something? Command Station is a Zephyr.

There's nothing inherent in the decoder that would prevent Ops Mode programming. Hvae you tried usign Ops Mode to change a different CV just to see if it works at all? Perhaps it is programming the speed table but not setting CV29 to enable the speed table. Also try programming a CV in Ops Mode from the console to verify operation.
