Did you get the link right in your post? When I tried it I got the message that it couldn't find the server. BTW, it's good to see a couple more people who enjoy working with electronic components as I do.

Yes, the link is working at this time.  Must have been briefly down or a gremlin etc.

I used to tinker a lot when I was younger and have been hankering to do it again, plus I have a 12 year old who is showing interest so I wanted to put together a kit of parts for us to experiment with and foster that interest as well.

Thanks, the link is working now. Looks like a good place to order from, good prices, low shipping charges.

I saw this company mentioned on another forum and wondered if anyone here had ever ordered from them?

Futurlec

The prices and shipping rates seems decent.  Has anyone done business with them?

 Thanks in advance.

To be honest, it has been about three years since I did any purchases. At the time, with Mouser, I liked the assortment of products, no minimum and lower shipping charges. Mouser and Digi-Key have massive paper catalogs they send out after a few orders. I did a lot of electronic projects, many not model railroad related. Your mileage may vary. Times do change.

Thanks Rich.  We too are interested in component level electronics. Thumbs Up

Yes, I have bought from them but I usually prefer Mouser Electronics first and Digi-Key second.

I was under the impression that they had slightly better prices than Mouser and others I have looked at.  Was your shopping experience a good one?  Is there a reason you prefer Mouser?  Thanks for any info you can offer.

Yes, I have bought from them but I usually prefer Mouser Electronics first and Digi-Key second. I have a list of about ten online electronics suppliers I buy from. Usually depends on what the company has in stock. I like working at the component level in electronics.
