I have a Walthers 130' tt and i am haveing problems getting power to it. When an engine goes on it , it throws a short. I spoke to Walthers about this and they told me it does not work with DCC. Anyone have a fix for this problem? thank you
Huh!? Is this a non-indexed non-programmable one from several years back? If so, then it won't work on DC, either...unless you find a way to reverse the polarity to the bridge rails when you turn an engine 180 degrees.
On the other hand, the newer indexed version is ready out of the box to do everything except stop where you need it to as it swings an engine's end in an arc. You must provide the programming inputs for that. But as far as auto-reversing, it is built-in as part of the design.
If it shorts, you have a pair of feeders reversed from what is on the other side of the turntable pit...you need to be consistent in terms of left rail/right rail polarity . So, get back under the bench and get oriented to which rails are which on both sides of the TT, the approach lead and the bay/servicing tracks. Once you are fully oriented, I am quite sure a mis-applied feeder pair will jump out at you. Fix that, and you should be in business.

You had better read page 2 of the instillation instructions provided in the link below The 130' T/T most definitely does work on DCC or DC Terminals B1& B2 get connected to rail power be it DC or DCC it doesn't matter, you connect U&V to the AC terminals of the power supply to power the bridge drive mechanism. You obviously have something hooked up wrong or have something shortign out the bridge track some where.

I seriously think that Walthers has someone new answering Customer Service calls based upon some of the recent goofy information that I have received from them.
If the Walthers 130' turntable doesn't work on DCC, then I better re-evaluate my NCE Power Pro system which, for the last 5 years, I thought was DCC.
I have the Walthers 130' turntable on my DCC-powered layout, and it works just fine.
As others have suggested, check your wiring (and the polarity of the tracks leading into and out of the turntable).

You should call Walthers and tell them, "Guess what, your turntable works on DCC".
