Thank you for the heads up on the Headers, they are close to what I am looking for. I am just wanting an micro connector that will go between tender and loco for decoder hookups. I like the plugs that BLI uses and the Header plug looks to be a good alternative.
Thank you,
Jeff
I'm trying to find these too.I think they are "JST" format, and I think there are specific "pitch" measurements refering to the distance in milimeters between the pins.
I ordered some from ebay for $6 total for 6 each male and female. They looked correct, but were too large, so I assume I need a smaller pitch.
Interestingly, they shipped direct from China, and were obvously individually hand packed and the package was hand addressed. Must have incredibly cheap labor!
JST 9 pin is common on decoders, but BLI uses 8, 6,and 3 pin.
I have seen the 3 pin at R/C hobby stores for about $4 a M/F set.
I'm alsolooking for the plug they use on the PCM/LokSound boatds, It's even weirder.
Hi Jeff,
I feel your pain. Just out of curiosity I went to a couple of online electronics suppliers, including those mentioned and searched for the sort of plugs you described, to no avail.
I am not aware of your specific application for these plugs so I'll take a guess and suggest you use a header. They are black and are available in single row configurations. Tony's sells them as well as any electronics supplier. Tony's will cut them to you specs so 8 or 9 pin single row is not a problem. Tony's charges 50 cents per pin.

If the header connectors seem like they would work, here is another link to a supplier that carrys them.
Headers at E Goldmine
I wouldn't pay $14...
Guys,
Thanks for the links, I am having trouble finding the plugs that I can use.Does anyone have part numbers or a more specific description for the plugs. I am wanting either 8 or 9 pin single row micro plugs that are black in color preferably.
The one that I purchased from BLI was around 8.00 plus 6.00 for shipping.
Thanks,
Capt. Grimekdoes anyone know the specific part no. from the two catalog suppliers or at least the size/description?
Exactly! I never used to have grey hair before I tried searching Mouser and other electronics suppliers for less than mainstream components!

Hello,
I wanted to know if anyone knows where I can get the micro plugs similar to what Broadway Limited Imports uses to connect the tender and locomotive together. I am looking for a bulk purchase and would like 8 or 9 pin connectors both maile and female. I ordered a couple from BLI but the price is high along with shipping. I checked Micro Mark and Lichfields Station but they do not have quite what I am looking for.
Any suggestions or help is greatly appreciated. I am looking for quantities of 25, 50 or 100.
