CSX RobertWhen you join a group, you can elect to not receive emails and instead just check the Yahoo website for new messages. If you are receiving emails from Yahoo groups and want to stop them, go to your "My Groups" page, click on "Edit My groups" and you can change the message delivery options for the groups you have joined.
What he said. Or, you can click on "Edit Membership" at the top of each Yahoo! list individually, and change your options there. Either way works.
I belong to a bunch of groups, and don't get email from any of them. I simply turn that option off, and do all my posting/reading online.

Stevert I strongly suggest that you join and take your question to the JMRI User's Group.
Good idea , but I hesitate to join too many groups, because of the flood of "Email".If I can sustain from being "Emailed" I would be interested.
Thanks

yankee flyer I will wrestle this computer to the ground yet, but it may be later than sooner. Thanks again. Lee
Thanks again.
Lee,
I strongly suggest that you join and take your question to the JMRI User's Group. Much of the JMRI development is done on Macs, and the developers (among many other knowledgeable folks) hang out there and answer questions such as yours. Not to knock these forums, especially since I spend plenty of time lurking here, but the JMRI list is, well, just a much better place to get help with JMRI. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/jmriusers/

CSX Robert The first jumper sets the baud rate(off = 9600, on = 19200), which has to match the setting in the software on the computer. The other three tell it what system you are connected to(all off for a Power Cab).
Thanks RobertI over looked the jumper part. I am making headway, but I am going to have to study the Decoder Pro manual some more. It doesn't want to let me enter the loco address and and save to roster. The program enters a #3 and won't let me change it. I will wrestle this computer to the ground yet, but it may be later than sooner.
Edit: Should I set Decoder Pro for page or byte mode for the NCE system?
yankee flyer...Question does the USB adapter have to be designated as throttle # 3 the same way my "04p" does?..
davidmbedard Which decoders?David B
Which decoders?
David B
I have several different kinds but the one I'm looking at is NCE D13SR because, I intend to exchange it for a sound decoder so if I fry it I won't have lost much.
Good Day All.
I'm having trouble reading decoders with decoder pro using power cab and NCE usb port. Also for the first time, I'm using a Mac laptop. I seem to have things hooked up according to the diagrams. The usb adapter lights up but the Mac says it can't find a decoder. Question does the USB adapter have to be designated as throttle # 3 the same way my "04p" does? I just plugged it in along side the power cab. The "04p" works fine from that position.Help will be appreciated.
