Yes you can, I posted this a few months back and thought I had made some sort of great discovery until I read it had been posted here a few years back. No matter what MRC tells you it will work and work 100% correct. The only thing I haven't been able to find is a coiled Ethernet cord to use with the throttle as there is no need for such a cable. I installed 3 extension panels on our n scale layout for the same price as MRC wanted for 1 extension plate.
Yes. I have several in various lengths, and have created a cab bus with unions and splitters, around the perimiter of my layout.
I have a question about a wired MRC Prodigy Advanced (both the original and Squared versions) DCC hand-held controller. I was wondering if a standard Ethernet cable (cat5, cat5e, or cat6) could replace the cable to connect the hand-held controller to the to the DCC base, since they have RJ45 plugs (cables) and keystone jacks (hand-held & base)?
Thanks in advance for any replies.
