The Soundtraxx Tsunami for diesels is an excellent choice, and I think you would probably be happy with the Quantum Sound Revolution decoders for diesels.  The QSI Revolution is usually programmed for the prime mover (main engines) of the diesel model, so you can be sure of getting most of the proper sound files.   I say most because not all of the sound files are the right ones when you get a sound file group...which is the way it is done as far as I know.

Tsunami or QSI Revolution.  I am not an installer, and not an expert, so you may get better answers from some other people here.  Good luck!

In my Kato SD70 I used an MRC "Sounder" which is a sound-only decoder that is installed along with a regular motion-and-light decoder. At least to me the result is very good, though I did have to use a 1/2" round speaker instead of the 1" one supplied with the Sounder.
