Bachman N scale Doodlebug Decoder Install?
Posted by Cannoli on Tuesday, August 25, 2009 3:19 PM

Hello All, I have a Bachman N scale doodle bug that I would love to install a decoder in. I've done some browsing online and have come up with this site, http://www.awrr.com/doodlbg1.html but this calls for installing the decoder under the unit, I'd really like to install it inside. While I realize I could do this inside the passenger compartment, that same site has a link which is unfortunately dead, http://nietzsche.mit.edu/~auro/trains/tech/dcc.bachmann.doodlebug2/ that mentions installing a decoder backward in the motor compartment.

Does anyone have any insight on this or any general suggestions? All I'm looking for is basic motor control so I don't need anything fancy and figure a Digitrax DZ125, or something similar would be a great starting point.
