Robert, you can't attach files to posts here.  You can email them to those who ask for you to do that if everyone is comfortable with that arrangement. Otherwise, you must post a URL to a site that makes the file readable when accessed, and that goes for images as well.

For images, if you want the actual image to appear in your post, you must load the image file, usually much reduced in density, to a webhost site such as photobucket and the like.  Then link the URL for the full-sized image to the gallery by posting it in a text box here with the "img" tag prefixes and suffixes.

We can explain that in more detail if you are interested...but text files cannot be inserted unless you cut and paste or link via a URL to a site that will open it for viewing to those visiting.

About reversing loops, they are the same in all respects.  Gaps where they do the most good for your operational needs, and use a reversing system, either toggle on a DPDT or one of several very useful automatic digital reversing units sold by MRC and Tony's Train Exchange, as examples.

I can't see your pdf so I don't know how your trackplan goes, but basically you need to do gaps the same as you would to do a reverse loop in DC. All an automated reverse module does is replace the DPDT switch you'd wire into a DC reverse loop set-up, so the polarity is automagically reversed without you needing to do anything. Two wires go from the reverse loop to the module, another two go from the module to the DCC trackpower source.

Help with Reversing Section for DCC Layout
Posted by r_funk on Monday, August 24, 2009 9:10 PM

See attached .pdf file for my track plan.   I have this track plan wired up and tested using an old DC power supply.   Workes fine.   When I added the last part of the track, to the layout (Red color-revereing track section), as expeced I will have a short.

I am now ready to install my DCC system along with my reversing modual on the layout.   Do I have to change any of the track layout for the reversing section for DCC?   Also where do I locate the gaps and were is the best place to put the reversing modual.   Does the double crossover switch and/or the three way switch cause any problems?

Thank yoy for any help ypu can give me.   Robert Funk
