This may seem silly, but have you check to see if any of the buttons might be stuck? I have had this happen with the computer (Ctrl button stuck) and with my Digitrax hand control. Might try turning off all the power and batteries and then try rebooting. My cable modem sometime acts silly and that get it going.

Good luck and hope you get it going soon.

Contact ESU, they are the Manf. for the DYNAMIS.

I already checked it out and my controller hasnt even booted to the point that I can do any of those changes mentioned in the FAQ.  At this point, excluding this problem, the only real negative thing that I have to say about the Dynamis system for my uses has been the lack of documentation.  The website dedicated to it is pretty lacking, and the instruction manual that comes with the system is pretty basic, IE: heres how to turn it on.  Other than that I think it fits my use perfectly.

There seems to be a Dynamis FAQ site.  Maybe there's something there that will be helpful.

(or maybe not!)

Yeah it was the change of batteries that brought the problem on.  Ive been through a couple of sets of different batteries but that didnt change anything.  The Dynamis controller seems to boot itself independant of the reciever base unit.  It will boot up and show your active locomotioves even when the base unit is turned off.  But yes, the reciever was on and in direct LOS of the controller.

Sorry, I don't have a Dynamis and am guessing, but does the receiver have batteries?  And do you have the layout turned on so the receiver is active?  It's infrared; do you have the controller close enough to the receiver for it to get the IR signal?

Dynamis Controller Problem
Posted by Kfishe2 on Saturday, August 22, 2009 10:01 AM

I posted this on the Bachmann site, and have yet to get any replies, so Ill give a shot here.  I know many people do not use the Dynamis and wont be able to help, but I know there are a few of us users out here.

I turned on my controller the other day and got no juice.  I know that the low battery light wasnt on the last time I used it, but I figured I had left it on for a few days by accident.  I changed the batteries and got the controller to come to life.  The problem is that the screen lights up with all of the available icons illuminated, and never progresses any further.  Its like its stuck and wont boot up all the way.  The user manual is pretty much worthless, and I havent gotten a reply from Bachmann yet.  Does anyone know if the controller can be reset somehow, or anyone else had this problem?

Thanks
