P2K F-7B won't run
Posted by skagitrailbird on Friday, August 21, 2009 9:50 PM

My Walthers Proto 2000 F-7B with Quantum sound decided this afternoon to stop running.  I am using NCE PHP 5 amp system (although it won't run using my PowerCab, either).  I have re-programmed the addresses and even did the reset to factory defaults, then re programmed.  It makes noise but won't run forward or reverse.  And wouldn't you know.  An out of town guest is coming tomorrow.

All suggestions welcome.

You are probably in 'disconnect' mode. Double click F6 should get you going again.

Roger, I just happened to have my E-7 on the bench and stated the shut down process. (there are 3 steps). In step 1, I still have engine sounds, engine will rev but not move. Hit F-10 and engine said it was disconnect. Step 2, engines sounds stopped, lights went out and engine said it was in stand by. Step 3, sound came back on, then stopped, sounds of roof vents closing and then cab door opening and closing when the engineer left, F-10 engine says shut down. Hit F-6 two times and shes back up and running.

Hope you get yours up and running.
