I recently purchased a kato SD40-2 with a digitrax decoder and sound factory installed. It comes equipped with mars lights. Out of the box the ditch lights both worked fine . They were on constantly when the forward lights were on . The other day i was experimenting with the best way to run consists. I was adjusting start voltage and what have you . I was unhappy with the changes i had made so i reset the decoder.( cv# 08 set to 08). Everything reset fine except for the ditch lights. Now the right one only comes on when i blow the horn, and the left one only comes on when i ring the bell. Can anybody explain what is going on here?

That's the default when you reset the decoder. Try setting CV51=106 (0x6A) and CV52=107 (0x6B) and see if that does what you want. Here's a link on Digitrax's website which should help.
