I programed the number 10 into cv19 because i thought exactly what you said and my loco would not respond.

CV19 should be 0  until the command station assigns an address to it when setting up an ADVANCE consist. The command station and loco decoder will program each other when making and breaking consists. The CV19 address can be any number between 1 - 127 for a loco going in the normal direction and what ever number assigned by the command station plus 128 for a loco going in reverse.

If I set up my consist on the home layout and then move the locos to the club layout they will not respond due to the fact that the consist is not programed in the command station at the club.

When you selected the address 10 to run the loco, did you select it as a 2 digit address or a 4 digit address? The consist address is a 2 digit address, so if you selected the 4 digit address 10 it won't respond.

Advanced consists do not HAVE to be programmed into the command station. You can program CV19 in each loco manually and select the consist address to run it.

If the consist you setup on your home layout is an advanced consist, then the locos will not respond on the club layout if you select the loco address because the consist address overrides the loco address(unless programmed otherwise, the functions will still respond to the loco address). The locos will, however, respond on the club layout if you select the consist address.
