Starting to think I am have having problems with my SEB. I posted last week that I could not get the BLI QSI Decoder to reset to default. Now I cannot reset the sound decoder in my Blue Line RSD 15? I 99.9% sure I am doing it right. I have the engine on the programing track, pull the motor control decoder, set the DT 400 to program PH and have CV 8 = 8 and hit enter. Screen on DT 400 will say bad then good. But still no sound and rear tail light comes on.
Welcome any ideas.

I hate Rust
Try Pg or Pd, Paged and Direct mode respectively. These are the programming modes BLI says the Blueline decoders support. Ph is Physical Register and not often supported.

Randy and David, guess I was having another senior moment. I just found a Blue Line manual and it does say to use Direct Page mode. I will give it another try later.
Feeble mined Ken
I have reset blueline on the main with motor decoder instaled cv8=8. works every time.

I pray every day I break even, Cause I can really use the money!
I started with nothing and still have most of it left!
Got it back up and running.
Pete, would that not all so reset the motor decoder to default?
Ken
I use TCS decoders in mine. They reset with CV30=2. Even if the motor decoder resets so what. Start from scratch and program again. Or you can lock the motor decoder with CV15 and 16 first. I consider the Blueline and motor decoder as one unit. I program both on the main after I check for shorts on the program track. POMing both decoders at the same time also programs common CVs that should have the same values. example is CV29. Non common CVs will be ignored by the other decoder. After all, all sound, motor and lighting decoders are 3 separate decoders in one package. The difference is the software that they use to control inputs and outputs.
Pete, may you can explain it a little better for me. I am getting ready to speed match a pair of Blue Line GE AC 6000's.
On page 14 at the bottom they have listed.
0 Lock Disabled
1 Motor Decoder
2 Sound decoder
3 Function Decoder
Page 15 shows
CV15 Unlock ID Number Unlocked when CV15= CV16 0,1,2,3 Factory 0
CV16 Lock 0,1,2,3 Factory 0
If all I want to work with is the motor CV what CV's do I change and what value?
Thanks in advances. Cuda Ken
