Both have two functions.  They are forward and reverse headlights on the white wand yellow wires.

Digitrax decoders
Posted by BerkshireSteam on Thursday, July 16, 2009 5:12 PM

I just bought a pair of engines and it turns out they had DCC installed. One has a DH120 and the other has a DH121. Anyone one have any info about these decoders? The LHS proprieter said they were older, and both were set up for 128 speed steps but the lights didn't come on. There were lights, they were wired, and one train's headlights did come on for a while then turned off, but I may have also unknowingly hit a function button and turned them off. I looked at the Digitrax webiste but it was just confusing.

How many functions do these decoders have?

What light functions can I use with these decoders?

Will I have much problem installing a Digitrax Sound Bug add-on sound decoder? Both engines have the decoder hard wired in, not with a plug-in, but the LHS proprieter explaned how the Sound Bug decoder would be wired in and it sounds simple enough. I'm not afraid of wiring and I'm very good at soldering so I'm not weary to try this myself. The sound installation is down the road sometime so it's not like I would be doing this next week or something, probably more like sometime this winter, maybe fall. After all, I have two engines there plus there is another loke I need to get that is in my layouts actual operating RR.
