Yes I can change the address for the loco's and speed match them and they run ok using old consist it all goes wheels up when trying to use advanced, I cant try any thing at the moment as the layout is being expanded and looks more like a missile test sight at the moment.

Check the steps in the PowerCab manual, the DZ125 is a pretty new decoder and definitely supports CV19 as well as programming on the main so that CV19 can be programmed on the main track when creating a consist. Does the decoder function properly otherwise, ie can you program it with an address other than 3 and actually operate the loco?

What DCC system are you using? There's nothing you need to change on the decoder to 'enable' advanced consisting. Advanced consisting involved programming CV19 to the consist address, 1-127 for a loco running forward and 129-255 for one running reverse (like back to back A units). Setting CV19 to 00 removes the decoder from advanced consisting and returns control to whatever 2 or 4 digit address you previously set the loco to.

This is a system question rather than a decoder - some systems do advanced consisting by default, others do not but can be configured to do it. Or just bypass the guided consisting and program CV19 directly, either on the program track or in Ops Mode.
