Rob,

You may want to reset your Athearn F7's sound decoder to the original factory settings.  Do you know if it's an MRC decoder?  That would be my guess.  If it is, you will need to change the following CV:

CV125 = 1

Your Zephyr manual should have a section in it on how to get to Programming mode.  (In this case, Programming on the Main or POM.)  Enter CV125 and change it's value to "1".  That will reset your decoder.

Also - and this is just a suggestion, Rob: Punctuation makes understanding what others are trying to convey easier, faster and more clear.  I had to read your post through about 3 or 4 times to be sure that I didn't miss anything important.  Again, it's just a suggestion that will help you communicate better with others. need some help

i have a Athearn Genesis f7 with a dcc with sound it was working and then it stoped working in dcc so i put in a loco code of 00 and it did not work so i talked to the place that i got it from he ran it his layout in dc and it worked so he sent it back to me and it still not work so i want out and got a new pice of track and wired it to the zephyr and still not work so i got my old dc mrc contaler out and hooked it up and at worked got one of my other dcc engin out and it worked with the zephyr it is just the f7 that dose not work with the zephyr any help thank you
