Spectrum steam engines are currently available with a slightly stripped-down version of the Tsunami sound decoder. It would be nice to see a similar option for Spectrum diesels.
The decoders are the same the last I heard. The steamers are coming with sound decoders based on the SoundTraxx Tsunami technology. Maybe that will change in the future for the diesels.
You can join the Bachmann forums and ask there. A Bachmann rep answers there.

If you ever fall over in public, pick yourself up and say “sorry it’s been a while since I inhabited a body.” And just walk away.
Hello everyone, I'm kinda new on this side of the site here. I use to post a while back on general discussions, I had to hit the road for a while as my job keeps me moving around alot. I normally read the postings that other modelers write as well as answer. Anyway i've been collecting for a while I just recently purchesed a few spectrum 8-40cw, the undecorated ones. I love to airbrush, I figured after i'm done decorating these locos i would like to hook them up in a consist and run them, these locos have decoders installed. I've been reading on the forum how bachmann decoders are on the cheap side, I just want to know if this applies for the spectrum decoders as well ? Thank you in advance for any responses !
