Lights & sound remain on
Posted by Riverhawk on Friday, May 29, 2009 12:43 PM

Is it normal for the lights and sound to remain on even though the engines are not selected with the DT400? I have a SEB and when I power on the unit, the unselected engines will still have the lights on and the engine will make air release and other sounds. There is no movement with the unselected units. Thanks for your help.

Sound decoders generally give you an option to choose if the lights and sounds are on any time there is track power, or only are on when the engine is "selected" by your system. You'll have to check the decoder instructions to see how to change the particular CV for each type of decoder. It usually just changing a CV from "0" to "1" or something like that.
