Yes you can.
I am actually doing the wiring on a neighbor's layout and the system he is using is a Sytem One.

Are you asking if you can still get Wangrow items, or are you asking if the Wangrow System 1 will operate decoders and accessory decoders from other manufacturers? The answer to the first question is no (unless previously owned), and the answer to the second question is yes.
I don't know if there is any support for the System 1 regarding upgrades, et cetera. This used to be provided by NCE, but they don't support System 1 anymore. If you need a copy of an operating manual for the System 1, I think I have an electronic copy saved someplace.
