Don't worry bout asking what you may think are stupid questions. If I had a dollar for every stupid question I asked here I'd be a millionaire. If I had a nickel for every friendly, helpful, and oftentimes very insightful answer provided by the folks here to my stupid questions I'd be a billionaire.
If you think about it, if you always put the normally positive on (+) you will know which way your turnout will go when first fired up. In other words, be consistent. It may help in troubleshooting down the line. Just a thought, because you guys are right: it doesn't really matter, it will still work!
Thks Joe for replying.
Upon reflection that was a stupid question to ask.
If I had thought a little longer about the wiring of the Tortoise I would have answered my own question.
Sorry to waste your time, but appreciate you answering.
cheers
It really doesn't matter since you reverse the + and - when you want to reverse the throw of the Tortoise.
Joe
Hi there
When connecting Terminals 1 and 8 on the Tortoise to your power supply, should the "+" and "-" terminals be taken into account ?
For example, should Terminal 1 be connected to the "+" terminal of the power supply or it doesn't really matter which terminal they are connected to ?
Appreciate your replies and excuse my ignorance
