Try smacking the DT400 in the palm of your hand. Slap it with the buttons and display down toward the palm. Sometimes the chip gets loose or a little corrosion around the pins and this will reseat the chip. If it does not work, contact Digitrax about service.

trouble with a digitrax dt400r
Posted by foxtrackin on Saturday, April 18, 2009 6:05 PM

The dt400r was working fine and then the display went blank. It seemed like it still was controling the train. Tried it with batteries and plugging it in still the same thing. Let it set about 15 min. and tried it again and got 3 ??? on the left side of the display and a little checker board thing on the right side. Again let it set for an hour or so and now it is blank again. Help, thanks in advance
