My favorite is PFM from the late 1970 early 1980.  This is steam only.  The PBL does diesel.

If you want to stay in DC operation, what is the best sound decoders or sytems to install in both diesels and steam locos.  What equipment/accessories are needed to operate sound in DC  operation?
