I have acquired two Atlas N Scale Rs-3s for a Great Northern layout i am starting. I have been researching DCC decoders on the net for weeks. I havent been able to find a suitable decoder that fits this old style chassis with the split light board and which comes with sound?
The decoder that seems to suit in a non sound version is the TCS CN or TCS CN-GP (i can work out which one later) but are there any sound decoder options that are available?
If not, is it possible to add a separate nscale sound only decoder to the TCS CN or CN-GP and if so, would it fit the above locos? Are there issues re operating two decoders in the same loco that i would need to consider?
