I saw a supplier at one time that was selling LEDs that were turned down to actually fit INSIDE the opening of the headlight housing.
I thought it was Ngineering, but I don't see them on their site ! (?)
Does anyone know who sells these ???
Mark.

Thanks for the link !
Is there another source for these ? The site I remember seeing also had numerous pictures showing the turned LEDs as well ! (?)
I put them in a drill chuck and turn them myself. Just spin the led while holding a file up to the lens. Don't go too deep. You'll know if it is cut too far, it won't light anymore.
Mark,
Did you ever find a source for the Milled LEDs? I didn't see anything like that on the Richmond site.
I would love to replace the bulbs in my Athearn SD70 with LEDs. I might even try the milling process describe in the previous post.
Peter
On the Richmond site, under LEDs, there's a paragraph that mentions they offer the service for $3.00 per LED ! The site I remember has an extensive listing of their turned LEDs including pictures and installation ....
.... still looking !
