Patrick,

Get a pair of the following speakers from Tony's Train Exchange:
TDS 1.25 Dia Speaker (tds125).
Specified by QSI for the QSI DCC Sound equipped Broadway Ltd, Atlas and Life-Like locos; used in OEM production, an exact replacement;
32 mm (1.26") dia, 4.8 mm (0.18") H
http://www.tonystrains.com/products/tteexclusive_spkr.htm

With a pair of these you will get excellent sound, they are the speakers used in the Atlas Gold Series Dash8.  The QSi Revolution would be an excellent choice.
