Sounds broken. Technical answer there. If it's still in warranty you can probably send it to MRC for repair.
If it were the other way around, trying to use an HO pack for N scale locos, they'd take off at max speed when you barely cracked th throttle.

Checked all wires & trains.Yup: Railpower 1370 is moving trains only after "85" is passed on the throttle control. And then: WHHHOOOSSSHH!! takes off the engine.
Why, oh why?!? Why does it give me all or nothing?!?
Why can't we just snuggle & take it slow?
help!

Railpower 1370 worked fine while I was testing hookups on my N layout, but now only moves engines on a test track at about 85% throttle (and super fast at that!), with nothing up until that setting.
Tried a couple of engines: all same deal.
Did I short something out in the powerpack? Anything I should test or check? I have a digital multimeter.
I'm hoping this is some rookie oopsie that's easily fixable (but would like to know before finishing all the wiring!)Thanks for the help!
