I thought I had it deleted? I was going to list all the DCC engines I have, ones that eat decoders and one that have never had a decoder problem. Want to see if someone could figure out the puzzle. But I was not feeling up to the task, so I tried to delete it. But lets give it a try.
Heavy Mike BLI factory installed QSI had it 2 years with no problem.
M1 a BLI factory installed QSI for 2 years and no decoder problems.
Class J BLI QSI, decoder some times needs to be reset but has never went bad 2 years plus, first DCC engine.
Hudson BLI QSI never a problem for 2 years.
Y6-b PCM, decoder came lose and BLI stuck it back in, so decoder it self has never had a problem.
GE AC 6000 UP Blue Line, ate it first Digitrax decoder after 2 weeks, that was 2 years ago as well. New one is doing just fine.
GE AC 6000 CSX Blue Line, no problems with decoder, only saw maybe 40 hours. LEDs went out and BLI sent me the wrong one. Have yet to get the right one so it is still a part.
E-7 Proto 2000 with QSI sound, no problems.
E-6 Proto 2000 B unit, been DCC for about 7 months with a Digitrax DH 123 with no problems.
SD 7 Proto 2000 with DH 123 with no problems after 2 years.
BL 2 OLD PK 2000 call it number 1, installed a DH 123 and 30 hours with no problems.
Now for the problem engines.
BL 2 OLD PK 2000 call it number 2, has ate 1 and more than likely 2 decoders I have installed. Will know later but I think it has something to do with the old steel wheels.
Dash 9 UP Athearn RTR with a DH 126. First it stalled with a 15 car drag in a tunnel, melted the wires to the PC board then the board hook up points, decoder made it some how. Decoder went bad about 11 months later but saw a lot of duty. It is doing fine.
SD 45-2 Athearn RTR, no problems yet with a DH 123 bought in March of 2008.
I will finshes this late, not feeling well.

I've had that happen a few times when I try to post a reply to a thread.
