If you are looking to have future expansion and interface options don't waste your time and money. The Dynamis is a dead-end system. You would be much better off with the Zephyr or other like system that offers easy expandibility.

Hi Tom,
I just did a Google search on it that took me to an earlier thread on here, about May of last year From what I read, irt isn't rated very highly, no computer interface, rumors of problems with the infraredline of sight control.A limited number of hand helds can be added.I've never even seen one until today, I have heard about them, but all of a sudden, there's quite a few Ebay sellers offering them and they are all brand new units.I'm looking to replace my Prodigy Express system, and really am favoring the NCE Pro Cab wireless. So much for the Dynamis, I'll get myself the NCE wireless I want.NCE Pro cab wireless isn't cheap, but comes highly recommended with a good service record.
There is one on Ebay right now, but I suspect foul play on this particular item, so I have decided not to bid on it .
I do not mind paying for quality!

Ed,
I think MR did a review of it in the past few months. I know in the February issue of MR, David Popp made a bracket for the Dynamis' infrared base unit so that he could use the "hands held" unit on a layout he was working on.

Time...It marches on...without ever turning around to see if anyone is even keeping in step.
I just happened to be browsing Ebay, and there are a number of vendors offering theBachmann Dynamis wireless system at a very attractive price.
This is the first I've ever seen one.Has anyone reviewed or used one of these systems yet and can give an honest evaluaition of it?I did notice it offers only a 2.3 amp power pack, rather weak in my opinion.
I also didn't really like the hand heldd unit , as you have to use two hands to hold it steady though you could probably hold it in one hand. Why couldn't Bachmann offer it with at least a 5 amp power supply.
Personally I think they should redeign the hand held so it would be like the NCE and Prodigy hand helds. I am going to look up some more information on it because the Ebay site said nothing about a computer interface either.
