Do you use the sutomatic turnout control feature?
I have a PSX-AR that has been in operation 3+ years without any issues.

i was not aware that the zephor had an automatic reverser in it, i am having trouble with my reversing sections it kills the decoder after a few times thru. i'm sure its wired right but when the engine goes thru it beeps funny, have tried to turn the screw for adjusting thre digitrax reverser a100 or something like it. rick

Don't despair just yet. There are several solutions for automating turnouts. I have two reverse loops with each one's throat turnout controlled automatically with IR sensors under the track leading into the turnouts a train length away. The company that made my system is no longer in business but I believe there are others. I also believe the PSX-AR made by DCC Specialties available through Tony's Train Exchange can automate your reverse loop turnouts.

thanks Allen , good info ,the issue of thowing switches is kind of a bummer for my plan as was hoping for a little more automation and less manual thow , meaning I would not have to be there to throw the switch every time ( area is on other side of penisula from yard ) and thinking I dont want to be there every time .would like the hole process to be atuomatic ..well Ill just go back to plan a of double main back to yard area ...thanks again ...Jerry
I had an MRC ARM installed for several years. It finally quit with no warning. I replaced it with a Digitrax AR-1. That unit has been working for almost 2-years without a problem.
Recommended practice is to install a reversing unit on each "Y" or reversing loop. The "Y"/loop has to be isolated at both ends and should be large enough for the largest train you intend to run. Some modelers have used one reverser to control more than one "Y" or reversing loop and report success. I would recommend against it.
I use remotely operated switches at both ends of my reversing loop. This can be done manually with ground throws if you like, but some kind of remote system is usually necessary since the switches normally have to be thrown in a relatively short time.
HO equipment is much more sensitive to turnout position than G-scale, I wouldn't recommend relying on it to move the points.
I have a Digitrax Zephyr and it too has a 'reverser' in it, but if you use it for a reverser, it can not be used as a command station. I am not familiar with the Easy DCC system, but I would suggest that you check with them before relying on the Booster/command station to do both functions for you.

ok ,I know this has been topic a bunch..still I have to ask...once properly set up are thease bullet proof or do they need lots of love? do you need one for every place oposing rails meet or will one unit cover a muti of spots ? and with a reverse loop set up what kind of switch or wye do you use so switch returns to original setting or is is it nessisary ( in g scale trains can push the points open and they return bye spring )? I have not bought my dcc system yet but notice easy dcc the booster has a reverser in it but dont know if its the way to go....any way im still in bench work stage but close to lay out rail and still thinking on on long dog bone loop w/double mains or more typical single w/loops at each end.......Jerry
