"Proprietary software" means software supplied by MRC, NOT Decoder Pro. They have no plans to make it useable by Decoder Pro, even though that was specifically requested by many users on the Yahoo MRC group, after MRC asked users what they wanted in a PC interface(Why ask the users what they want if you are going to ignore their requests?). The add also talks like the interface is already available, but it's not yet.

MRC DCC Prodigy Systems Question???
Posted by Meyblc on Saturday, January 10, 2009 10:10 PM

On the back cover of my new Feb 2009 Model Railroader is a full page add for the MRC DCC Prodigy systems. The entire second paragraph of the add talks about Computer Interface with proprietary Software. It says "Now all Prodigy Advance, Advance 2, Express and wireless can add a wireless PC interface. The paragraph makes it sound like you can now use Decoder Pro with the PA.

Is this true? if so.... then how?

I use Decoder Pro all the time at the club and have grown to love it. At home though, I have a Prodigy Advance. It's my understanding that Decoder Pro and the MRC PA series of DCC systems are not compatable.
