Certainly not a bargain basement decoder by any means -- they are QSI sound, one of the best.

proto 2000 decoder

I am looking to purchase a Proto 2000 a/b unit which has a factory installed decoder in it with sound. Does anyone know what they use for decoders. If it is a bargain basement decoder I would prefer to stay away from it. Thanks for any advise or past experience with these units would be appreciated.
