Decoder Installation
Posted by mreagant on Saturday, January 3, 2009 8:00 PM

I have a couple of HO locos that I'd like to get professional command and sound decoder installations on.  Both may be a little complex, and I'm not able to tackle the job, so I'd appreciate suggestions for places to send them.  While cost is always important, I'm more concerned about quality of work, and support after the job.  I'd appreciate suggestions.

Thanks,

Mike

Litchfield Station in Glendale, Arizona:  http://www.mr-dcc.com

Tony's Train Exchange in Essex Junction, Vermont:  http://www.tonystrains.com

Note:  I've never used either of these services, but I have heard that they do good work.  I do all of my own installations.  It is not really as difficult as you may think.

 Here is another one.

Run by Rick Bell who also has a Yahoo Group. He is also in the Yahoo SoundTraxx decoder group.

He has some good in the Files & Photos sections. Tutorials.

You can search using Google for dcc install service. There are a couple others who do this.

If you ever fall over in public, pick yourself up and say “sorry it’s been a while since I inhabited a body.” And just walk away.
