speed matching locomotives
Posted by grenadier1943 on Sunday, December 28, 2008 11:10 AM

Good morining all.  Hope you had a great Christmas.

I have 3 Atlas GP 40-2 Gold locomotives and 1 Proto GP-7 with DCC and sound (HO scale).  I use a MRC Prodigy express system, but also have the Prodigy Advance handheld (not the squared).

I read the Start Voltage, Accelaration, deceleration and TV? (top voltage) off the the Atlas locomotives.  I then entered the same numbers into the Proto GP-7.  At slow speeds they all run at the same speed, but once I increase the throttle the Atlas locomotives speed up faster than the Proto.  My question is this:  Are there some other CV's I need to look at to help me match the speed at a higher throttle setting?  Appreciate any help with this.
