I have two BLI 2-8-2 locomotives, but they run at very different speeds. Does anyone have a chart on resetting the CVs to compensate for the speed differences? I've looked through all the instruction books I received with the locomotives, but no where do they cover speed changes.

For resetting QSI, try the following sequence:
*If this sequence does NOT work for some reason, try the same sequence above but change CV49 to 126 instead of 110.

I'm not sure that doing a re-set will change anything?? The BLI mikes (at least the one I have) uses the regular speed CV's: CV2 start up speed, CV3 starting momentum, CV4 stopping momentum, CV5 maximum speed, CV6 midrange speed. Usually by setting CVs 2,5 and 6 you can speed match the two engines, then adjust the momentum CV's so the engines get up to speed and coast to a stop at the same rate, without getting into setting up speed charts.
BTW it's usually easier to slow the faster engine down, rather than trying to speed up the slowpoke.
Dido on the speed curve/ CV2,5,6 change. Before changing anything look at the slower loco and see if BLI put grease in the gear case and oil on the bearings. Some come soaked in oil and grease and some are dry as the desert. Then try adding just a little momentum to the faster/ quicker loco. If they both have the same size drivers and made close to the same time they should be close enough to couple and double head with out spinning drivers.
