I'm just curious. I haven't seen any threads on it. I use it as well as a few others around here. Of course you can also find all of the other options being used around here too. I just thought it strange that I never see anyone here mention it.

????  There have been several threads on it.  It was even in the "popular tags" section for a couple months.

I used Railcommand for years and years. We still use in on most of the layouts I run on.   Our club switched from Railcommand to Lenz DCC with CVP wireless throttles about three years ago.  That is my primary system at home now Lenz DCC with CVP wireless.  The only reason I didn't go with Easy DCC was because of the price I got on the Lenz (less than wholesale).   I really like the panel mount control pad instead of having to play video-game with a hand held throttle.

I use CVP Easy DCC and love it.  I don't seem to have the odd problems that crop up with some of the other systems.

It doesn't get much play, because not as many people use it when compared to Digitrax and NCE.  It's also only avalable (for the most part) direct from CVP, and is one of the more expensive systems.

We had a pretty good discussion of Easy DCC going here:

I use it, and am completely happy with it. It has been rock solid for me so far.

I think it's not mentioned much in threads as it's not as popular as other types, probably as you have to buy direct.

Or maybe it just has fewer problems than other systems?Laugh

I'm trying to model 1956, not live in it.

 Hi,

There's a fairly active Yahoo group devoted to EasyDCC, in fact.  Check out it out here.

Yes, I use it at an HO scale clubhouse to program decoders and run trains outdoors when we have an open house and set up our modular layout.  I've had that system for over 5 years.

A fellow club member uses EasyDCC on his home layout, which I helped him install, and he has had it for around 3 years.

What's your question(s) about it?

It has been a very robust and reliable system.  CVP does not have much of a dealer network set up and generally sells direct to the public.  That's possibly one reason you don't hear much about it.

Actually I didn't have a question about it. I'm pretty happy with it. I just never saw it mentioned here which is why I asked. I was afraid that I never hear about it here because people might have thought it was junk. Guess not. Like I said, I like it.

My club uses CVP wireless throttles for Lenz and they are very reliable.
