DCC system acting weird
Posted by BigBlueConrail on Tuesday, July 1, 2008 7:18 PM
I dont know if my DCC system is haunted or what but trains just startup and get moving on their own or refuse to respond to input from my controllers. Very weird, any ideas?

What system, decoders, throttles, etc?

Rotor

Jake: How often does the train go by? Elwood: So often you won't even notice ...

MRC prodigy advance, about 3 years old. All decoders came with the locomotives since they all have sound. Throttle came with the system. I think I have a haunted layout.

This should be posted on electronics DCC forum - could be electrical interference or CB/shortwave etc.  Rotorranch is right - what system etc.

If you don't have the PA wireless, I doubt it's interference from other things. When my little Bach system acts like it has gremlins, it's always been dirty wheels. DCC locos are much more sensitive to dirt than DC versions.

Do you have a wireless throttle?  Try changing the batteries if you do.
