question on right decoder
Posted by pastorbob on Saturday, June 28, 2008 9:19 PM

Happened to pick up an Atlas dash840-bw this week, silver model, and in going through the decoders I had on hand at  home, can't find one that fits correctly under the hood.  anyone know what NCE/Digitrax/TCS decoder works for this unit?  Not sound, just a decoder.

See:

I am presuming HO scale because I don't think Atlas makes a Silver series in N scale but maybe an N scaler can confirm.  For the Atlas HO silver series there is a plug already in the locomotive.  A Digitrax DH123PS or DH163PS will work.  The only difference is whether you need additional functions for ditch lights and such.
