Pick-Up and DCC on an HO Forney
Posted by Anonymous on Tuesday, June 10, 2008 5:53 PM

I've been working on this Brass HO Forney from MTS and the pick-up through the trailing truck is poor.

Has anyone had success adding more pick-up through the driving wheels? Already soldered leads to the trailing truck and isolated each side with carbon fibre board, rubberized tips.

I also need help with sparking. I thought I isolated everything, short of painting the whole loco in rubber.

I am using Digitrax Zephyr, DZ123, a separately connected smoke unit and one forward headlight.

I've burned through two decoders already and would like to have success on the third.

 Any thoughts?
