FWIW as a follow-up, it's pretty rare to find an engine that's come out in the last 10-15 years that requires you to isolate the motor, that's mainly an issue with engines like Athearn BlueBox whose design goes back several decades.

I have a MRC Mini decoder #1643 The loco came with an 8 pin socket. If a loco is DCC Ready would I still need to isolate the motor?

just so you know , if the motor wasn't isolated from the frame it would have blown the decoder and it wouldn't run at all .

glad to hear you got it working . isn't sound cool ?  Smile [:)]

If you ever fall over in public, pick yourself up and say “sorry it’s been a while since I inhabited a body.” And just walk away.

No, the motors are isolated. What type of speaker did you install?
