Thank you all for your responses.

The poll system About.com gives us for our sites limits us to 10 choices. This is why Easy DCC and others mentioned above aren't listed separately.  So far there are only six "other" responses.  No one has posted in the About.com Model Trains Fourm thread saying what their "other" is.

I grouped the "Super Chief" and "Super Empire Builder" because I'm trying to differentiate between entry level and and advanced system.  I think that by grouping brands of two, beginners and parents will see which good starters also have good upgrade paths.  Maybe I'm assuming too much there.

I'm not surpirsed that NCE is in second place.  I've been active on TrainBoard for some time before my About.com site went live.  Someone did this poll there, but didn't list NCE.  In that poll Digitrax came out first and "Other" came in second.  The thread conversation made it quite plain which "Other" got the lion's share.

Besides TrainBoard and here, I have put this request for responses on the Atlas Forum and Scale Rails.  I am very grateful to everyone who has responded so far.  At the time of this writing 115 people have responded.  That is very gratifying to me as my site only went live three weeks ago.

Anyone who hasn't responded yet, please cast your vote at:

In multiple ways.   I don't know where else this was posted but just posting in this forum probably skews it toward the top end systems.

As Cacole indicates, I also have multiple systems and could only enter 1 into the poll.

For whatever reason, your poll choices are too limited.

I, for example, use 4 different systems on 5 different layouts and for different scales:  NCE Power Pro (2); Easy DCC; AirWire 900; and A-Track.

About Poll
You've already voted, but here are the current totals:
What DCC system do you use?
Atlas Commander  (1) 1%
Bachmann E-Z Command DCC  (5) 5%
Digitrax Zephyer  (15) 15%
Digitrax Super Empier Builder or Chief  (24) 25%
Lenz 90 or 100  (7) 7%
NCE Power Cab  (17) 18%
NCE Power Pro  (14) 14%
MRC Prodigy Express  (1) 1%
MRC Prodigy Advance2 or Wireless  (5) 5%
Other  (5) 5%
Total Votes: 94

As of 11:09 PM 04-29-08. Remember guys this for beginners and parents who want to get their children into model railroading.  I don't think most Mon and Dads will for over $450.00 for Super Cheif for little Billys first train sets.

I find it interesting that 2nd place goes to NCE, which is what I decided on for our layout. The thing I find really interesting is that there is not much talk about NCE on this forum.....

Did you mean Digitrax Super Chief or Empire Builder?   Why did you group these two together?   I'm surprised "other" is so low as I assume it contains the CVP EZ-DCC system.

I'm doing a DCC systems poll on About.com. Will you please participate in my poll?

I'm sure this poll has been taken here before. However, my About.com site is primarily geared towards beginners and parents who want to get their children into model railroading. So the results of this poll will be going to a different audience than any polls that may have been done here in the past.

Thank you!
