This probably isn't the most recommended decoder, but I installed a TCS A4X in mine and the difference in performance as amazing .... the unit was suddenly smooth and quiet as it should be !!!
Another modification I highly recommend is to add some additional side supports to the truck bolster. As is, the frame sits on the truck via a round head pin and teeters from side to side. By adding some shims to the truck bolster, you can easily eliminate that annoying torque lean.
