There is no input for a cam on the Loksound 3.5 decoders. You will have to mess with the CVs to get it as close as posible. Programing on the main will be faster than a program track. The Loksound manual has instalation diagrams for the XL decoders. Why that info would be in the version 3.5 is a mystery to me. CV 57 and CV58 control the sound intervals of the chuffs.
Hope this helps

P.S. I downloaded the manual from the Loksound website. Its much better than that little book with the tiny writing.
I pray every day I break even, Cause I can really use the money!
I started with nothing and still have most of it left!
Im using Lok Sound because I have my own custom steam sounds which are 100% accurate for the models, I am doing.
Can anyone help me with my question?
Thanks

It is for a Lok sound after market decoder. A Lok sound v3.5 for ho scale decoder.
If anyone can help let me know.
If this is in a PCM model, and you don't get a good response here, PCM/BLI has a decent forum on their site, and their customer service/tech support is really great as well.
Hello
I'm trying to understand how I can hook up an external wheel sensor (axle cam) for a steam locomotive and enable the LOK 3.5 decoder to accept the input. The information in the manual is unclear. There are no wires on the LOK 3.5 decoder which appear to be "inputs", all are output wires. I fear that despite the literature, the LOK 3.5 is not able to accept an axle cam input.
Can anyone help me?
