setting the address is no problem, what other variables values are recommended

Top voltage =

Do you like how they run?  Do they run at the same speed (consist them , but don't couple them together, leave an inch or two between them)?  If you are happy, don't mess with them!  If you are not, there are some folks here that can help you make the changes neede to get you happy!  We got a ABB set, with the digitrax decoders, and didn't need to change a thing.

They all run the same speed, I would like to change the acceleration and decelleration, also the top speed. They do run to fast at full speed, My grandaughter has taken an intrest in the Choo choo's and I would like her to be able to run the engines with out them flying off the layout.
